Delightful hotel. Our room was actually a double connected to a single with not one but TWO bathrooms. Granted that the 2 small bathrooms together would make one regular size bath. It was very clean, quiet, with comfortable bed. Local coffee provided. It has old world charm with modern convenience and a great downtown location.

Nice rooms but fixtures need repairs and updates. The shower head in my room was detached from the wall, and the water that came out of the faucet was brown (plumbing repairs underway). It would’ve been nice to be offered clean linens after cleaning up the brown water mess, or maybe some kind of incentive to return, but the gal kind of shrugged off the issues with a light (and very polite) apology. Being from Japan where customers’ experiences are of utmost importance it was a little disappointing. That said, great location, lovely foyer to hang out, and comfortable linens.

We stayed here for one night and I wish it were longer. Our room was bigger than our apartment in Seattle, with a kitchen, living room, huge bedroom and bathroom. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, there’s a bar on site, its proximity is close to everything you can possibly walk to and more! It’s charming and feels historical which I enjoyed. 10/10 I’d stay here again.

A lovely centrally located hotel in Bellingham. Hotel Leo is our ONLY suggestion when we have friends and family coming into town. We reside five minutes from the hotel and try to visit the bar "A21" as often as we can. An excellent location for locals and visitor alike.

This was our first stay at the Leo. It is an older hotel located in the heart of old downtown that has been nicely renovated. The tower was built in the 1920's, with the rest of the buildings being constructed in the 70's (I think). It's a lovely, stately (with a touch of eclectic) environment with all the normal amenities, and a gorgeous library which houses a fine pool table for customers to enjoy. The two elevators look like an original Otis system which is pretty cool in and of itself. The staff is uniformly pleasant and accommodating. A security guard is present in the lobby while the doors are unlocked. We had a single king room. The mattress was on a hard, low pedestal with no box-spring. The bath had been totally modernized which included a glass and tile walk-in shower, tile floors, new fixtures and paint. A desk alcove, a kitchenette bar, and a decent closet rounded out the offering. Heat was effective and controlled via a handheld remote. The Leo is definitely a pet-friendly environment! There is a dedicated pet "walk" platform. It's 50'-60' x 10'-ish feet. It is gravel filled and within 30' of the door. The room carpet is a dense commercial weave which probably allows easier cleanup of any accidents our fur-babies might have. THERE IS NO PET SMELL AT ALL. The mattress was a bit too soft for me, although my spouse thought it was quite comfortable. Your mileage may (probably?) vary. The under-cover parking garage at the front entry is very small. Only 12-14 cars will fit. Full-size pickups should not even try. There is is a good bit of uncovered parking available on the street and in an adjoining lot. One thing that we were not crazy about was the. . . ahh. . . nightlife. Walking our dog at 10:00 PM and again at 1:30 AM, there were a number of people (that were not going to cars or home from a late night at the office) on the streets in the area. But I admit, there were none on the hotel grounds.

One of the standout experiences at Hotel Leo is the Amendment 21 Bar, where the true star is bartender Krystine. Her mixology skills are nothing short of impressive. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic cocktail or something more adventurous, Krystine knows how to craft the perfect drink tailored to your taste. Beyond her impressive skills behind the bar, she exudes a friendly and welcoming vibe, making every guest feel special. Her passion for her craft shines through in every interaction, and she’s always ready with a great recommendation or a story that enhances your experience.

We stayed here once before, but this was our first chance to really explore the hotel and downtown. The hotel itself is excellent, with character and charm that impresses the longer you stay. The staff were lovely and warm. Steven at the front desk was particularly nice, answering all our questions and helping us out. There are so many cool features, but my favorite was the library / billiards room. Literally right out the front door, there are cool shops and great eateries. I hope we can stay again, on our next visit. Bellingham is a wonderful town and Hotel Leo is a gem!

The Leogang is a great hotel in the heart of Bellingham, just a block away from the farmer's market (Saturdays). It has a fully equipped gym, and a neat social lounge with library and pool table. The 21 hotel bar has great cocktails and wines and the bar lady with an eastern European accent was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. The hotel rooms and hallways could benefit from some updates and paint jobs. All the other staff were friendly too.

Great location. Excellent service. Very well appointed with minimal decor and “dust catcher’s” —-which greatly benefits me with having extreme environmental allergies. We had a great time mulling around beautiful, Bellingham. Have missed her dearly.
